This release focuses on making translation smarter and more reliable, giving you more control over notifications, and streamlining how you manage discussions.

🚀 New Features​

  • Per-conversation translation toggle — Turn translation on or off for an individual room right from its settings, with a banner showing the current state and a system message when it changes.
  • Translated push notifications — Notifications now arrive already translated into your preferred language, so you understand a message before opening the app.
  • Automatic history translation — Older messages are translated automatically as you scroll, so your conversation history reads in your language.
  • Retry failed translations — When a message can't be translated, its status is shown clearly and you can retry it with a single tap.
  • Language detection — As you type, Unio detects the language you're writing in.
  • Notification settings — A new settings screen lets you fine-tune your notification preferences on both web and mobile.
  • Discussions toolbar — Filter your discussions and mark them all as read at once from a new toolbar.
  • Redesigned message menus — Message action menus have been reworked to be faster and easier to use.
  • Better message forwarding — Forwarding keeps the original conversation context and offers more precise copy options.

🐛 Bug Fixes​

  • Fixed inflated unread badge counts on the desktop app.
  • Fixed duplicate notifications for the same message.
  • Clicking a notification on Windows now opens the correct conversation.
  • More accurate language detection when forwarding messages.
  • Non-text content (such as code and formatting) is no longer translated unnecessarily.
